About this Opportunity

Travelers is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our organization as we grow and transform our Technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced software solutions for Guidewire Policy Center.
  • Lead complex analysis, configuration, and development efforts for impactful tasks.
  • Take the lead on directing and implementing solutions to moderately complex problems aligned with team goals.
  • Deliver efforts independently and lead other team members.
  • Investigate and resolve critical, high-impact problems, defects, and incidents.
  • Act as a technology advocate, seeking opportunities to improve the business.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship while fostering a team environment.
  • Apply knowledge of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of programming/development experience with 5 years on Guidewire Policy Center.
  • Delivery – Advanced delivery skills, including automated tests, analysis, and informed feedback loops to ensure quality and production readiness.
  • Domain Expertise – Demonstrated track record of domain expertise in the Insurance sector, including developing business partnerships and influencing priorities.
  • Problem Solving – Strong problem solver using data and proofs of concepts to find creative solutions to difficult problems.
  • Communication – Strong communicator describing technology concepts in a business-friendly manner.
  • Leadership – Advanced leadership skills with the ability to take action, inspire, and motivate others.
