We are seeking a skilled and experienced drywall installation specialist to join our team at AS-CONSTRUCTION.
About the JobThis is a permanent full-time position with an estimated salary of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
Responsibilities- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate installation.
- Apply successive coats of compound, sand seams and joints, and apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, cure freshly plastered surfaces, and finish corners and angles as required.
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure precise fit and seamless joints.
- Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the space.
- Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring, install exterior and interior steel studs, and use hand and power tools to install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.
- Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation to ensure energy efficiency and reduce noise levels.
- Prepare wall and ceiling layouts, including measuring, marking, and cutting materials as needed.
- 3-4 years of experience in drywall installation, with a focus on residential and commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites as required.
