We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Grade 7/8 Humanities Teacher to join our team at Rosary School in Manning, Alberta.
About the RoleThis is a 0.5 FTE probationary position for the school year, primarily teaching Grade 7/8 Humanities and potentially other duties assigned based on the candidate's skill set.
The instruction will include split grades and small class sizes, providing a unique opportunity for a teacher to make a meaningful impact on students' learning.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Grade 7/8 Humanities, including English, history, and social studies
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Assess student progress and provide individualized support as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in education
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A strong understanding of inclusive education principles and practices
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, including First Nation, Metis, and Inuit students
- Proficiency in the use of educational technology and assessment for learning
- Eligibility to teach in the Province of Alberta
