Key Responsibilities- CNC Machining: You will be responsible for performing complex CNC machining operations for rapid prototyping and production, ensuring high precision and quality.
- Prototyping Machine Shop Establishment: You will assist in setting up a new prototyping machine shop, including the procurement and installation of equipment, and the development of standard operating procedures.
- Shop Maintenance and SOP Development: You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized shop environment, and developing and implementing standard operating procedures to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will work closely with cross-functional R&D teams to achieve technical milestones and contribute to the development of new products and technologies.
- Continuous Learning and Knowledge Sharing: You will be expected to contribute to a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in CNC machining and quantum technologies.
- Machinist Trade Certification: You must hold a Machinist Trade Certification, 4th year Apprentice or Machinist Red Seal Endorsement.
- CNC Experience: You must have a minimum of 10 years of CNC experience with HAAS/Fanuc milling and lathe machines (G-code).
- Machining Tolerances: You must be able to machine objects with tight machining tolerances and properly use quality testing/inspection tools.
- CAD Drawing Modification: You must be able to modify and read CAD drawings, set up and adjust production machines & tools, and maintain inspection reports.
- Shop Maintenance and Organization: You must have strong attention to detail, authenticity, and a sense of responsibility in all tasks, and be able to maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
- Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: You must have a critical thinking and problem-solving mindset, and be able to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
