We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents in a supportive and compassionate environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident's plan of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and its services.
- Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
- Ensure the safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Effective, compassionate, and supportive manner when dealing with others.
- Respect for each resident's individuality and right to self-respect and privacy.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, and Municipal statutes influencing the operation of the Nursing Home and nursing department.
- Medical Clearance, including TB tests.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check and/or Adult Abuse Registry Check.
- Clear Criminal Record check.
All staff are required to provide proof of vaccination, adhere to COVID-19 prevention protocols, and wear a mask at all times.
