Alterations Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Alterations Specialist to join our team at David's Bridal. As an Alterations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality alterations and fittings for their wedding gowns and other special occasion dresses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customers receive the highest quality alterations and fittings.
  • Manage and maintain a clean and organized alterations room.
  • Perform alterations, fittings, and sewing tasks to company standards.
  • Resolve customer service issues in a swift and effective manner.
  • Support cash wrap behaviors and processes transactions with accuracy.
  • Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting with customers regarding gown fit and customization.
  • Maintain inventory management by processing special orders and ensuring first-quality standards for all merchandise.
  • Ensure that alteration pricing is at company standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
  • Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production environment.
  • Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus.
