About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at IFG International Financial Group Ltd. as a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, analytics, and automation, with a focus on tool development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to streamline reporting processes and develop efficient data analysis solutions.
  • Design and maintain reporting logic using Databricks, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
  • Automate standard reporting deliverables and explore self-serve options to enhance data accessibility.
  • Visualize datasets using PowerBI or Spotfire, creating standardized and ad-hoc reports to meet diverse needs.
  • Train colleagues for independent reporting management, ensuring seamless data analysis and reporting processes.
  • Continuously enhance financial and operational data analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in data science, analytics, with a focus on automation and tool development.
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Databricks.
  • Experience working with Git and related tools (Gitlab, Github).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in SQL and either R or Python.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Spotfire.
  • Familiarity with Git and cloud data platforms like Databricks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with financial or operational data in the energy industry.
  • Certification in relevant programming languages or data analytics tools.
