Job Overview

As a Senior Estimator with Qualico Canada, you will play a key role in monitoring budgets and managing the day-to-day functions of the Estimating team. You will also provide estimating expertise to support the Construction and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the production and estimating operations of Single-Family homes, ensuring timely completion of job files.
  • Review and distribute job files for purchase, ensuring all necessary information is complete and accurate.
  • Evaluate offers and send tenders to trade partners and suppliers, fostering positive relationships and maintaining a directory of suppliers and trades.
  • Oversee scheduling and estimating software users and system functionality, ensuring seamless integration and efficient workflow.
  • Review plans, conduct model estimates, and generate material and labour options, providing guidance to site and office staff.
  • Prepare and sign off change requests, coordinating with Purchasing, Production, and Construction teams on project changes.
  • Review invoices and monitor expenditures to assist management with budget control, identifying cost savings measures.
  • Prepare budgets for models, sales, and jobs on a regular basis, as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years production or estimating experience in residential construction industry.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint), and estimating software (SupplyPro, BuildPro, NewStar or similar).

Work Conditions
