Masonry Specialist

Premium Modern Homes Ltd. is seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to build residential and commercial structures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the trade. You will be required to read blueprints, calculate materials, and cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units
- Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials to provide veneer facing
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
- Read blueprints and calculate materials required
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
- Lay radial bricks to build masonry shells of industrial chimneys
- Lay or install firebricks to line industrial chimneys and smokestacks
- Line or reline furnaces, kilns, boilers, and similar installations using refractory or acid-resistant bricks, refractory concretes, plastic refractories, and other materials
- Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade
- English language proficiency
- 40 hours per week
