About the Opportunity

Wind River Cloud is seeking a highly skilled Senior Member of Technical Staff to join our team. As a key member of our Cloud team, you will work on large-scale projects like Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenStack, leveraging your expertise in cloud infrastructure software development. Your contributions will drive the adoption of these technologies into our product, enabling us to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software for a complete cloud infrastructure software stack.
  • Develop high-quality designs and code based on Kubernetes, containerized applications, distributed cloud systems, and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Collaborate with our team to containerize and develop fault-tolerant, carrier-grade software.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in OpenStack and related technologies, incorporating them into our platform where appropriate.
  • Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 12+ years of professional software development experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 11+ years with a Master's degree.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with Python, and 5+ years of experience with C/C++ preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.

Desirable Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in building infrastructure software for highly scalable and distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of OpenStack architecture and components, including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, and others.
  • Track record of building and delivering mission-critical, 24x7 production software systems.
  • Contribution to OpenStack community or related open-source projects.
