About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Horticulturist Helper to join our team at Mucci Farms. As a key member of our greenhouse team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and productivity of our crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Care: Clean the crops, apply fertilizers, and report signs of insect or disease damage to ensure optimal growth and yield.
  • Greenhouse Maintenance: Clean the greenhouse, water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and maintain a clean work area.
  • Harvesting and Handling: Hand harvest vegetables, including cucumbers, greenhouse tomatoes, and greenhouse vegetables, and handle them with care to prevent damage.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced environment, with a non-smoking policy in place.
  • Work Setting: Rural area with a greenhouse setting.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 60 hours per week.
