Northern Health Authority is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre. Estimated Salary: $93,000 per year, based on industry standards for a registered nurse with 3+ years of experience in intensive care and emergency nursing in British Columbia.
Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the intensive care and emergency departments
• Provide compassionate and individualized care to patients and families
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
• Develop and maintain skills in advanced life support, critical care, and emergency nursing practices
Requirements:
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
• Acquires and maintains skill certification in CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation, IV therapy, Blood Glucose Monitoring, Ventilator, and basic Cardiac Monitoring
• Three (3) years' full-time recent acute care experience involving intensive care, obstetrics, and emergency or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to deal with others effectively
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Ability to operate related equipment
• Ability to plan and organize
• Ability to teach
• Ability to initiate and work independently
• Ability to apply critical problem solving
• Ability to react/respond under pressure
