Job Summary

Canada Goose is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst, Reporting to join our team. This role will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual external Financial Statements, Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and securities filings in Canada and the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual external Financial Statements, MD&A, and securities filings in Canada and the United States.
  • Support the preparation of the MD&A and review XBRL tagging of Annual Financial Statements in Workiva Wdesk platform.
  • Assist in quarterly reviews and annual year-end audit of financial statements.
  • Responsible for lease accounting and analysis, providing support for Canada Goose's global lease portfolio.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly Financial Statements and certain accounting entries and account reconciliations.
  • Execute internal controls with respect to financial policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare financial and technical analysis for IFRS accounting policy position papers, as requested.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business/Accounting.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is in progress, completed is an asset.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in financial analysis or data analytics.
  • Experience in the Consumer Products industry, retail or manufacturing a definite asset.
  • Experience working in publicly traded companies listed in Canada and the United States, or experience working in private companies with regimented reporting requirements.
  • Working within an internal control reporting framework preferred, preferably COSO.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 16 is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the corporate accounting and financial reporting process.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is required and experience in data analytics software is an asset.
  • ERP experience required, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 highly preferred.
  • Experience with Workiva Wdesk platform for financial reporting highly preferred.
  • Strong technical internal controls compliance skills.
