Job Summary:

Heroux-Devtek is seeking a seasoned Plant Manager to lead our Landing Gear Division site. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all site activities to ensure high levels of profitability, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery. Your expertise in modern operations management, including LEAN, 5S, and Six Sigma, will be essential in driving growth and introducing new machining technologies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create step-by-step production plans with your production team.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are well-maintained and utilized effectively.
  • Work with the Vice President, Landing Gear Division, to analyze contracts and their impact on production.
  • Establish a business growth and manufacturing strategy to optimize operating profit and ensure short- and long-term performance.
  • Lead and develop your team to achieve a fully united and efficient workforce.
  • Promote the company's values: Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, and Recognition.
  • Ensure sound management of all operations, relying on best practices and staying at the forefront of innovation in methods and technologies.
  • Mobilize human resources to achieve organizational goals and develop talents accordingly.
  • Efficiently manage operation and investment budgets to maximize return on assets.
  • Create and maintain a secure work environment for all employees.
  • Ensure performance indicators are monitored to achieve high customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies and action plans for quality, on-time delivery, and cost.
  • Ensure constructive relationships with external partners.
  • Maintain good business relations with customers and develop a professional network within the community.
  • Align the company's strategies with market opportunities, motivate the team, and support management in setting priorities.
  • Ensure health, safety, and site security requirements are respected.
Requirements:
  • University diploma in engineering.
  • Solid, progressive manufacturing experience at a managerial level.
  • Familiarity with JIT, lean manufacturing, and MRP manufacturing systems.
