Are you passionate about technology and the outdoors? As a Signal Technician with the Canadian Armed Forces, you'll play a critical role in managing communications systems in various environments across Canada and around the world.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain, repair, and configure leading-edge communication systems
- Operate specialized electronic test equipment
- Perform corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, diagnosis, modifications, installations, configurations, inspections, and administration
- Work with wired and wireless communications systems, radio, satellite, and microwave broadband technology, radar location and detection technology, fibre optic and copper wire broadband technology, voice and data network defence, configuration, and administration
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada
- Be at least 18 years old (17 years old with parental consent)
- Have completed at least Grade 10 or Secondaire IV in Quebec
As a Signal Technician, you'll experience the unique adventures and challenges of working outdoors, in military vehicles, and at maintenance workshops. You'll work across the country and around the world wherever the CAF has a footprint.
Training and Development:You'll undergo comprehensive training, including the Basic Military Qualification course and specialized training in communication systems and equipment. You'll also have opportunities for advanced training and professional development.
