About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye exams to patients of all ages, with an emphasis on prevention of ocular disease. They will work closely with our two local ophthalmologists as well as co-manage with Saskatchewan-based laser surgery centres.

  • Biannual remote eye care services to multiple First Nations Communities
  • Home visits within Moose Jaw and to Central Butte Care Home
  • Lantern colour vision testing for CN and CP Rail
  • Specialty exams as requested, including Binocular Vision exams, Scleral/RGP CL fits, and Low Vision evaluations
About Our Office

Our office features state-of-the-art equipment, including California Optomap, Nidek camera fundus photography, Heidelberg Spectralis OCT, Octopus visual field machine, and FDT visual screener. We also have a wonderful staff of optometric assistants, ophthalmic dispensers, and opticians who provide excellent support.

  • Four full exam lanes and additional wheelchair lane
  • Two full pre-test rooms with autoR/K and NCT/pachymetry
  • Separate contact lens training room with pre-test (autoR/K and NCT)
  • Optosys EMR system (as part of OSI buying group)
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is competitive, with a guaranteed daily minimum and percentage of gross revenue. The successful candidate will also receive a yearly bonus based on total dispensing revenue, as well as access to benefits such as 2-bedroom apartment rentals for ~$1000/month and average house prices ~$230k.
