Cabinetmaker - Woodworking Specialist

Rana Development Ltd. is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for operating woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components. You will also prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage and shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts and components
  • Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage
  • Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Work setting: Construction, Various locations
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Large workload, Tight deadlines
  • Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Organized, Team player
