Apprentice Painter and Decorator

Job Description:

At BB PAINTING AND SERVICES INC., we are seeking a skilled Apprentice Painter and Decorator to join our team. As an Apprentice Painter and Decorator, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, mixing paint to desired color and texture, and advising consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Mix paint to desired color and texture
  • Advise consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings
  • Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
Requirements:
  • Airless spray equipment experience
  • Brush painting experience
  • Conventional spray painting experience
  • Roller painting experience
  • Drywall taping/patching experience
  • Novelty and decorative effects experience
  • Fire retardants experience
  • Multi-color finishes experience
  • Staining experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to distinguish between colors
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling
  • Physically demanding
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling
