About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Water Team at ISL Engineering in Edmonton. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for municipal infrastructure projects, including pumping stations, lift stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, and streetlighting.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for municipal infrastructure projects, including pumping stations, lift stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, and streetlighting.
  • Collaborate with the Lead of Electrical to execute projects and provide timely deliverables to project PM and larger design team.
  • Manage workload and schedule to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Prepare technical design reports and construction specifications.
  • Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, scopes of work, and responses to RFPs.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Progressively responsible experience in electrical design and drafting.
  • P.Eng. or E.I.T. designation registration with APEGA (or eligibility to register).
  • Experience with design of process control systems and familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with electrical design processes, codes, and standards.
