Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Worker I with Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Collect and dispose of garbage and recyclables
  • Remove snow and ice from walkways and parking lots
  • Spread salt and sand to ensure safe pedestrian and vehicular access
  • Clean mechanical rooms and shop areas
  • Assist tradespeople and other maintenance staff as needed

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent
  • Possession of a valid driver's licence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures

What We Offer:

Alberta Health Services offers a competitive rate of pay and a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 per year. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
