At Kongsberg Gruppen, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing operations of our Sonar division. Reporting directly to the Site and Operations Director, this key role will play a pivotal part in ensuring smooth production planning, resource management, and team development.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing production schedules to meet project deadlines and customer demands, coordinating workflow between departments to optimize efficiency and resource utilization, tracking production performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in all stages of production, overseeing hydrostatic pressure and hydroacoustic testing of finished products, and collaborating with quality assurance teams to maintain compliance with industry standards and certifications.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably in electronics or sonar manufacturing. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as familiarity with industry standards for testing and manufacturing processes.
