About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Healthcare Innovation Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in health services administration, business administration, public health, nursing, or a related field. They will also have a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical health research, public health, health promotion, and/or health system innovation in Alberta.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Working closely with our Executive Director, Health Platforms, to lead and manage processes to design, plan, and develop programs within Health Platforms.
- Liaising and communicating with key stakeholder groups and networks within and outside the province to promote awareness and understanding of Health Platforms.
- Monitoring and reporting activities related to the development and implementation of programs to ensure timely and effective launch.
- Managing the intake of all health platform programs (i.e., AbSPORU, ARECCI, ACRC, and IDEATE).
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of the regulations and policies governing healthcare innovation in Alberta. You will also need to have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, senior leaders, and external partners.
In addition, you will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You will also need to be able to prioritize multiple tasks and competing agendas, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
At Alberta Innovates, we offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as generous vacation and paid time off programs.
