We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team at Modinno Dwellings Inc. as a Master Craftsman. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and building foundations and structures.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites
- Survey building locations and levels
- Supervise other workers
- Estimate costs and materials
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade
- Ability to work on site and physically demanding work environment
- Accurate, client-focused, and efficient interpersonal skills
