About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our team at Canderel, a leading real estate company. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and expertise in portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial reports for management, including balance sheet and income statement analysis.
  • Accounting Cycle: Oversee the full accounting cycle, ensuring all accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash flow, and bank reconciliations are completed efficiently.
  • Tax Compliance: Reconcile and remit QST/GST/HST and other legislated taxes and assessments on a timely basis.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flows positions, anticipating future deficiencies and arranging for funding as needed.
Qualifications & Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/commerce or related field required;
  • 5+ years of experience in property accounting;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs;
  • Knowledge of Yardi is an asset.
Estimated Salary Range:

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
