Travel Nurse Position

The Canadian Health Care Agency is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Travel Nurse Team, providing culturally sensitive care to Indigenous patients and families in remote, isolated, or semi-isolated areas across Northern BC.
This role involves delivering primary care and public health services through a set of integrated and accessible healthcare services. Public health involves working collaboratively with community members to identify health priorities while addressing and promoting community healthcare prevention.
Requirements:To be considered for this position, you must have:
- At least 3000 hours of clinical experience acquired within the last 3 years.
- Experience related to performing complex activities in a wide variety of situations in either primary/acute/intensive care, urgent/emergency care, or community health (public health and home and community care).
- Recognized Canadian Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Valid BCCNM license in good standing.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers issued by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and International Trauma Life Support (ITLS).
- Valid class "G" or equivalent driver's license.
- Mask-fit Tested.
- WHMIS.
- TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods).
- Medical Clearance from applicant's primary care provider.
- Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance / Background check.
We are looking for a candidate who is:
- Willing and able to travel in small aircraft, off-road vehicles, and by boat in varied weather conditions to communities in remote and isolated areas.
- Comfortable working in a rigorous and diverse work environment.
- Flexible to perform on-call duties, work after hours/overnight, and on weekends as required.
- Eager to complete mandatory education/training relevant to the position.
- Flexible schedule.
- In-depth orientation program providing instruction in advanced clinical assessment and illness management.
