Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team at NS Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer truck on international routes, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Manage cargo, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records and reporting as required.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to regulations and company policies.
  • Work effectively with central dispatch, receiving and relaying critical information to ensure smooth operations.
  • Meet and maintain required certifications, licenses, and endorsements, including AZ, Air Brakes, and Class 1/1F/A.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 or A driver's license; AZ endorsement required.
  • 2+ years of experience as a tractor-trailer driver, with a strong focus on international routes and long-haul driving.
  • Excellent professionalism in customer service, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work extended periods, travel internationally, and adapt to variable weather conditions.
  • Certified in Bill of Lading, Driver Logbook, Inspection Report, and Trans-border Documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GPS navigation equipment, on-board computers, and cellular phones.
  • Valid passport, driver's license, and ability to obtain required security clearances.
  • Familiarity with transportation/travel regulations, including customs and border control.
Working Conditions
  • Work on the road, with variable schedules and extended periods away from home.
  • Able to lift and maneuver equipment and cargo, with a focus on safety and physical capabilities.
