Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and services.
Key Responsibilities- Support pharmacists with the execution of patient-focused services, including MedsChecksTM, pharmaceutical opinions, immunizations, and smoking cessation.
- Abide by approved prescriptions, duties, and responsibilities per relevant College of Pharmacists.
- Perform data entry and billing of prescriptions through Nexxsys, ensuring all required documentation is adequate and appropriate.
- Prepare prescriptions, including regular prescriptions, compliance packaging, and simple compounding.
- Monitor site refrigeration temperatures and report any variances directly to the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist on-duty.
- Effectively communicate with external and internal contacts, developing and maintaining professional relationships with local healthcare professionals, suppliers, and private insurance payers.
- Provincial Pharmacy Technician Registration (if applicable).
- Experience in the industry, including third-party billing issues.
- Self-starting and independent, with a strong motivation to succeed.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Willingness to work weeknights and weekends.
