Ground Handler Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Ground Handler to join our team at the Masset Airport. As a Ground Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our ground services, including driving and operating ground service equipment, marshalling and wing-walking aircraft, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and airline procedures
  • Operate ground service equipment, including vehicles and machinery
  • Marshall and wing-walk aircraft to gate
  • Sort, load, and offload guest baggage
  • Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
  • Service aircraft water and lavatories
  • Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
  • Groom aircraft, including cleaning cabins, galleys, and lavatories
Requirements:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel, and push/pull for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs/32kgs
  • Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
  • Ability to wear safety wear, including steel toe boots, reflective vest, and hearing protection
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
