About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at 1016277 BC LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies from vehicles and storage areas.
  • Crane Maintenance: Clean and lubricate cranes to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required for our construction projects.
  • Mixing and Spreading: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Assisting in Framing: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs to ensure structural integrity and quality.
  • Salvage and Cleanup: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants on construction sites.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Machinery Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated.
Requirements
  • We will provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.
  • This is a permanent position with a standard 40-hour workweek.
  • The primary language of work is English.
