About the Role

Job Description
  • Salary:$65,000 - $85,000 per year
  • This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in woodworking and supervision
Responsibilities
  • Supervise workers and projects: Oversee daily operations, ensure efficient workflow, and motivate team members to achieve goals
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities: Plan and manage production schedules, resource allocation, and workload distribution
  • Prepare production and other reports: Maintain accurate records, track progress, and analyze performance metrics
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies: Source and procure necessary resources to meet production demands
  • Read blueprints and drawings: Interpret technical documents to inform decision-making and guide team members
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary diploma or certificate in a relevant field (e.g., carpentry, woodworking)
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a woodworking or manufacturing environment
  • Skills: Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
