Job Description
- Manage files from commitment to closing, ensuring all broker conditions are met.
- Contact brokers via email or phone to request solicitors and funding conditions sheets.
- Follow up with brokers to obtain additional information as needed.
- Provide liaison and support for the funding department.
- Review documentation sent by brokers to meet commitment conditions.
- Organize incoming faxes from brokers and solicitors.
- Verify employment letters and satisfy income verification and down payment verification.
- Review and satisfy signed commitment, statement of mortgage, and mortgage application.
- Review and audit files prior to advancing.
- Update information and make corrections as needed.
- Respond to broker queries and requests in a timely manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience required.
- One year of mortgage experience preferred.
- Competency in MS Office and capacity to learn new technologies/systems.
- Possessing a passing grade in the Broker's Licensing Course (UBC Sauder) would be an asset.
