Mainland Plumbing and Heating Ltd is seeking a skilled Plumbing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our plumbing department, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations, as well as experience with pipe installation, repair, and maintenance. You will also be responsible for reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size

Requirements:

  • Plumber Red Seal Certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, wet/damp environments, and various locations
