As a stylist-in-training, you will have the opportunity to learn the intricacies of the business while providing exceptional customer service across various communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe experienced stylists and managers to gain insight into effective business growth and expense management.
  • Engage with customers and handle inquiries as the face of the salon, embodying the Regis Corporate values of honesty, accountability, integrity, and respect.
  • Maintain a clean and safe salon environment, adhering to established protocols.

As a stylist-in-training, you may be eligible for a promotion to a full stylist position upon obtaining your license. However, this promotion is contingent upon meeting specific requirements.

Path to Promotion

To be considered for a promotion, you must:

  • Hold a valid license in your state.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various salon tasks, including cutting, styling, and coloring hair.
  • Exemplify Regis Corporate values and exhibit a strong work ethic.

Requirements for Success

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain the necessary license(s) within or by the end of the 90-day training period.
  • Display excellent judgment, time management skills, and a genuine passion for the salon industry.
  • possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and superiors.
  • Be proficient in using technology, particularly our point-of-sale systems.
  • Be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Demands

  • Be able to lift up to 10 lbs. for stocking shelves and occasionally 10-25 lbs. for handling product shipments.
  • Be prepared for extended periods of standing.
  • Possess basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Be available for mandatory meetings and training sessions, which may involve travel and overnight stays.
