We are seeking a skilled Electrical Distribution Systems Specialist to join our team at Black & McDonald Limited.

Job Summary

This is a challenging role that involves designing and planning electrical distribution systems for optimal power delivery. As an experienced Intermediate Distribution Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed layouts, schematics, and specifications using industry-standard design software.

About the Role
  • Design and plan both overhead and underground electrical distribution systems for optimal power delivery.
  • Create detailed layouts, schematics, and specifications using industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SpidaCalc, or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs align with project requirements and standards.
  • Evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of overhead versus underground distribution solutions.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety regulations, codes, and industry standards for both overhead and underground systems.
Key Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in distribution system design, with a focus on both overhead and underground voltage systems.
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding of design software, electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
