Experienced Tradesperson Wanted for Camp Dorm Renovation Project

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team for a 4-month camp dorm renovation project. As an experienced carpenter, you will be responsible for executing your trade with a high degree of quality and care while meeting the project timelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret client requirements and blueprints to plan work processes.
  • Execute carpentry tasks such as repairing and installing doors, floors, cabinetry, windows, partitions, ceilings, and exteriors of buildings.
  • Perform hand and bench work in a carpentry workshop, operating various woodworking machinery.
  • Assist with various work scopes as required for the camp renovation project.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
  • CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation, or CSO (Common Safety Orientation), is required.
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Previous renovation experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Balance for working on scaffolding.
  • Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a work team.
  • Fluent in spoken, written, and reading English.

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
