We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Plant Manager II to lead our glass manufacturing operations at Pilkington. Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the plant, including the management of production schedules, inventory, and manufacturing processes.
- Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team of production staff, providing coaching, training, and mentoring to ensure their growth and development.
- Quality and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment and ensure that all products meet the required quality standards.
- Financial Management: Administer all financial support functions, including budgeting, cost control, and capital planning.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with other plants and departments to share best practices, improve manufacturing methods, and ensure effective communication.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of middle/senior management experience in the flat glass industry, with a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and business growth.
- Skills: Strong leadership and emotional intelligence capabilities, innovative and strategic thinking, and demonstrated abilities in developing plant staff, production scheduling, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
- Education: MBA or Master's degree in a Manufacturing discipline.
- Experience: Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier experience.
- Certification: Six Sigma Blackbelt certification.
