Bodily Injury Claims Specialist

We are currently seeking a dedicated Protect Casualty Specialist to manage Bodily Injury (BI) claims, including those that may involve litigation, while delivering exceptional service to our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic personality and flourish in a motivating environment. They will actively pursue challenges to enhance their expertise and capabilities, ensuring top-tier service for the end customer.
The primary responsibilities in Protect Claims include investigating, assessing, negotiating, and resolving Bodily Injury claims in alignment with Aviva's standards and principles.
Aviva values flexibility and collaboration; this position will offer a hybrid work model, combining the best of both remote and in-office work.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and verify insurance coverage utilizing knowledge of relevant case law alongside a comprehensive understanding of policy language.
- Investigate, assess, and resolve a variety of claims, both litigated and non-litigated.
- Formulate effective strategies to manage claims to resolution and provide guidance to Independent Adjusters as necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate setting of file reserves in accordance with company protocols.
- Control expenses through proactive management techniques.
- For litigated claims, collaborate with defense counsel to devise and implement strategies for achieving timely and cost-effective resolutions.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients and partners regarding claim matters.
- Thoroughly document and summarize all file activities.
- Understand and comply with Aviva's claims procedures and guidelines.
- Deliver superior customer service to our clients and partners.
- 3 to 10 years of experience in handling bodily injury claims, including general liability/premises operations claims and auto tort liability.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong knowledge of third-party liability claims (Bodily Injury, Property, and Auto Physical Damage litigation).
- Experience in mediation, pre-trial, and trial processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Adaptability, flexibility, eagerness to learn, and integrity.
- A committed team player with a positive attitude.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
- CIP designation is a plus.
