Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Aspire Bakeries. The successful candidate will provide mechanical support to all departments within the facility, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing mechanical support to all departments within the facility
• Preventing premature breakdown of equipment used in production and operating the facility through continuous preventative maintenance
• Ensuring a safe work environment through effective maintenance of equipment
• Troubleshooting any mechanical breakdown in the production process to minimize loss in manufacturing
• Working collaboratively with all other departments to ensure a productive team environment and continuous improvement of plant processes
• Reporting any concerns and/or problems to the supervisor through daily written and verbal reporting
• Understanding the mechanics of our facilities' processing and packaging equipment and maintaining it
• Ensuring equipment operates, is designed, and installed to required GMP standards
• Providing shift reports, including parts used, downtime, and root cause analyses
• Ensuring all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality, and quality
• Adhering to all applicable job procedures as outlined in the SOP manual
• Adhering to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in the employee handbook
• Adhering to food safety practices and ensuring they are being followed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A Certificate of Qualifications, Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright
• A valid license or proof of license from any province or country
