At FortisBC, we're seeking a skilled Archaeological Heritage Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in managing heritage and archaeological risk, ensuring compliance with heritage legislation, corporate policies, and industry best practices.

You'll work closely with project managers and planners to review projects, provide guidance, and manage consultants. Your sharp eye for detail will enable you to efficiently manage heritage resources and identify process improvements.

We're looking for someone with a degree in anthropology or archaeology, plus five years of experience working as an archaeologist in B.C. Certification as a Professional Member of the British Columbia Association of Professional Archaeologists (BCAPA) and a B.C. Heritage Conservation Act Permit holder are also required.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year. Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive, and diverse.
