The Role of a CYMH Clinician

As a CYMH Clinician, you will provide direct clinical services, including intake, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention, to support children, youth, and their families. You will work closely with community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other programs to ensure comprehensive care.

Your work will have a lasting impact, as you build strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners to coordinate services, resolve conflicts, and influence positive outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing emotional and behavioral challenges.

Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in Counselling, Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology, or Child and Youth Care, or a comparable graduate degree at the Master's level in a similar subject.
  2. Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community-based mental health services.
  3. Valid class 5 BC Driver's license with no restriction or equivalent.

Preference may be given to applicants with two years or more experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community-based mental health services. Experience providing intake services and/or initial assessments to children and youth virtually may also be an asset.
