At Construction Specialties, Inc., we're seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reviewing structural design analysis for all exterior aluminum products.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and conduct structural design analysis for exterior aluminum products.
- Coordinate between different drawings, standard concepts, practices, and procedures within structural engineering.
- Apply knowledge of Canadian and US building codes and design manuals to ensure compliance.
- Work with latest AutoCAD and Microsoft Office packages to generate detailed designs and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, employees, and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design and engineering processes.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structural design analysis with aluminum and steel structures.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality designs and meeting project deadlines.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or Solidworks.
- Knowledge of installation, machining, and welding techniques.
