Accounts Receivable Team Lead

The Accounts Receivable Team Lead will oversee and manage all aspects of the accounts receivable function for Greenwin's third-party clients, with the goal of minimizing receivables and bad debt. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely recording of rent and chargeable items, collection, and reporting of receivables KPIs while maintaining positive relationships with tenants, intra-departmental teams, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the AR team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of day-to-day and monthly tasks to minimize the number of delinquent accounts and outstanding receivables.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging, cash flow projections, and collection activities for management review.
- Liaise with Collection Specialists and operations team to minimize bad debts.
- Oversee functions related to tenants' legal matters with respect to the application of relevant legislation, which includes legal notices, hearing dates, and application of judgements.
- Produce monthly AR management dashboard reports. Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounts receivable processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance the effectiveness of the accounts receivable function.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Be the escalation point of contact for tenant inquiries related to accounts receivable.
- Ensure the team is fully cross-trained and able to perform all aspects of their job.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in the property management or real estate industry.
- Solid understanding of relevant legislation
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, billing procedures, and collection techniques.
- Proficiency in Yardi Voyager 7s.
- Knowledge of Property Vista preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Meticulous with an elevated level of accuracy and analytical ability.
- Proven history of meeting targets and deadlines in a challenging environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team.
