Financial Analyst Job Description

At Avanti Software Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in the preparation and analysis of our monthly and annual financial reporting package.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budget comparisons and KPI evaluations
  • Manage day-to-day banking and cash management activities, including bank reconciliations and fixed asset administration
  • Process month-end journal entries and file commodity tax returns
  • Assist with corporate tax return preparation and analysis of accounts
Requirements:
  • Experience with full cycle accounting and strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to meet deadlines efficiently and under pressure, with a focus on identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a college or university accounting background considered an asset
