Job Title: Registered Nurse

The Respiratory Inpatient unit at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is a dynamic and collaborative environment that provides exceptional care to patients with a variety of breathing-related problems. As a Registered Nurse on this team, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, registered practical nurses, patient care assistants, dietitians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a discharge planner, social worker, a respiratory therapist, a speech language pathologist, a chaplain, unit clerks, and volunteers.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing quality patient care within a delivery model that aligns with the philosophy, policies, and standards of care of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care within the scope of practice
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs
  • Develop and implement effective care strategies to meet patient needs
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Requirements:
  • Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BCLS certification
  • Additional formal educational requirements/certifications as required in department
  • Membership in professional association specific to nursing service area
  • Computer literacy in current software applications
