Electrical Engineering Technician Job Description

Are you looking for a challenging role in electrical engineering? We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team at JTEKT Bearings Canada Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test control equipment and systems
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and systems
  • Analyze the performance of electronic and electrical components, assemblies, and systems
  • Consult manufacturers' manuals, circuit diagrams, and charts to apply test and maintenance procedures for measuring instruments
  • Control flow, level, pressure, temperature, and other variables in manufacturing and processing
  • Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters, and programmable logic controllers or remove and replace defective parts
  • Install control and measurement instrumentation on new or existing equipment and integrate it into processes
  • Participate in the development of projects in conjunction with engineering
  • Make drawings, electrical diagrams, determine the choice of components, and wiring of electrical panels
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance of various electrical and electronic circuits
Requirements:
  • College diploma in electrical engineering or industrial electronics, or related field
  • AEC in Industrial Automation and Instrumentation
  • 1 to 3 years experience in control in a manufacturing environment
  • Certificate in electricity an asset (CE)
