**Company Overview**

At Pan-Pacific Personnel Inc., we are seeking an experienced Chief Accounting Officer to join our team. As a key member of our management, you will be responsible for leading our accounting and finance functions.

**Job Description**

We are looking for a highly skilled financial leader to oversee all aspects of our accounting and finance operations. This includes direct supervision of group accounting and financial functions, managing financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Direct supervision of all group accounting and financial functions related to internal and external financial reporting
  • Manage FP&A, accurately plan, forecast, and budget to support major business decisions and long-term financial health
  • Review and analyze monthly and year financials, budgets, and forecasts
  • Create, review, and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve, improve, and document internal controls over safeguarding of assets, financial close, and reporting processes
  • Prepare a range of financial reports, including trends, statements, summaries, and cost/benefit analyses for executives and the board of directors

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Proficiency in Japanese (both spoken and written) preferred
  • A CPA designation and 7+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Thorough knowledge of Canadian finance, tax, and employment principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate, mentor, and handle discipline and termination issues
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relations with all members of the organization
