About the Role



Avanade is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Consultant to join our Business Intelligence practice. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to create cutting-edge solutions using the latest Microsoft cloud technologies.



Key Responsibilities




  • Develop and deliver enterprise-grade analytics solutions based on Azure and Databricks technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure and Databricks technologies, achieving and maintaining relevant certifications
  • Collaborate with high-profile clients across various sectors to understand their requirements and present solutions to customer sponsors
  • Lead small development teams and mentor junior colleagues


Requirements




  • Demonstrable end-to-end experience in Data Engineering, including large-scale projects
  • Experience with the latest Azure technologies, such as Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen 2), and Cosmos DB
  • Understanding of software engineering tools and concepts, including experience in Python, Scala, or PySpark
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Informatica experience is a plus
  • Security clearance is preferred


About You




  • At least 5 consecutive years of residence in Canada to enable eligibility for reliability clearance
  • Must live within a commutable distance of downtown Toronto
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead small development teams
  • Self-motivated and innovative mindset
