Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Operations Manager to join our team at Light-weight Building Systems Inc. This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of $85,000 per year.

About the Role

The Senior Building Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This includes supervising workers, managing labor and materials, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of site staff, including foremen, carpenters, and laborers;
  • Develop and implement project schedules and budgets, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary;
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards;
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, time sheets, and inventory management;
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes;
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as needed;
  • Manage and control the distribution of company assets, including equipment and vehicles.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a related field, such as construction management or supervision;
  • Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions;
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Project.

Working Conditions

This role requires working outdoors in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. You will be required to travel occasionally, both locally and internationally, and may be subject to variable weather conditions.
