Job Summary

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for manufacturing a variety of parts using CNC programmable lathes and milling machines, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety
    • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Follow all safety laws, regulations, codes, policies, and procedures.
    • Identify and correct situations that could jeopardize safety.
    • Maintain a clean and tidy work station.
    • Report immediately any unsafe conditions or hazards to the appropriate person.
    • Stop work or cause work to be stopped in situations of imminent danger.
  • Quality
    • Alert the Machine Shop Supervisor to any issues with product quality.
    • Complete quality checklists to verify the quality of the product manufactured meets standards.
    • Ensure parts are free of visible damage.
    • Use measurement tools to physically verify product quality.
  • Productivity
    • Gather parts, tools, and fixtures as required.
    • Maintain and repair equipment.
    • Review traveler/job package.
    • Set up jigs.
    • Use hand tools and other mobile equipment.
    • Machine parts as per instructions on work orders and engineering drawings.
    • Program CNC machines by entering instructions and reference points.
    • Set up CNC machines by installing tools, attachments, collets, bushings, etc.
    • Verify settings by measuring positions and performing dry runs.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Aid in the development of production procedures where necessary.
    • Continuously improve work processes and methods.
