Salary:The estimated annual salary for this position is between $80,000 and $110,000 based on relevant experience and qualifications.
Job Description:This Mental Health Support Specialist role plays a vital part in our multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with RNs, RPNs, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to individuals struggling with mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply the nursing process as outlined by BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Demonstrate clinical competence in caring for individuals with mental illnesses.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Foster positive change and independence in clients.
- Prioritize client demands and care needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognized post-basic education related to psychiatric nursing and/or mental illness.
- Two years recent experience in a related field.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, such as the Mental Health Act and the Guardianship Act.
- Valid BC Driver's License.
